Check out this beautiful card I recently made!
Mindful art. I realize that’s what I’ve always been about in my writing and my art — creating works of art that inspire compassion, mindfulness, soulfulness, and connection in our everyday lives.
This desire to create is in all of us. To cultivate beauty — through art, through our words, through our presence. We get frustrated, ansy, annoyed when we don’t create…when we don’t allow the art within us to be, to come into being, to rise up from within us…and shared.
So shine! Share! Express! Create! I so delight in seeing all of your works of art — your photography, your poems, your drawings and crafts and creations!
“The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time.”
– Mary Oliver
Blessings,
You know I am ALL OVER this one! I don’t know where I would be without creativity, seriously! Sharing it & seeing a smile is the cherry on top! Thanks for this lovely reminder & I LOVE LOVE LOVE the card!
Kyia, I thought of you when I was making this!!! Yes yes yes…you are such an inspiration with all of your works of art! I am juuuuust beginning over the last five years or so to really put my words onto paper in a creative way. I love it! Love to you, soul artist sister! Lisa
I love this card Lisa! And the message in this post is wonderful. I especially appreciate your inclusion of our ability to create beauty through our presence. So true.
Indeed we all have that urge to create something and when we get moving and get creative it not only feels good, it ends up looking good too! Lately I’ve been having a type of ‘spring fever’ (which is odd considering the snow outside) and have been happily cleaning, decluttering, and parting with things that need to go to others through thrift. it feels great and has me rearranging our artwork and it all feels fresh. There are so many ways to be creative 🙂
Love and Hugs, Gina
Ahhh Gina, you make my heart smile once again! I totally get “spring fever”…yes, the cleaning and getting out the clutter…creating space in your life. It really does bring an exhale to my life when I do this. With little kiddos, we can collect a lot of “stuff”…”rattlesnake-shaped leaves”, rocks, little lego pieces….we often go through things and just create some space. I love it!
ahhhh sweet sigh
that’s how i feel about your poetry, dear love!
