It’s Time Now
By Lisa McCrohan
It’s time now to believe
that you are good and whole
perfect
just
as
you
are.
Yes, that’s right –
exactly as you are.
Not only when you have patience,
you are Zen calm,
and you have it all together.
But also when emotions run high,
you are a mess,
and so very nervous and scattered.
It’s time now to stand in your radiant beauty
exactly as you are.
Not when you lose 10 pounds,
you have a fabulous hair day,
everyone buys the novel you wrote,
and the world announces, “You’ve made it!”
But also when there are bulges on your sides
and your hair is a mess,
when you get yet another rejection letter
and you seriously doubt if your dream will
ever become a reality.
It’s time now to know deep in your bones
how you need to be here
and you matter.
Regardless of the story of your birth or early years,
the messages that got lodged deep inside
that you spent a fortune on in therapy.
Because you are done now
with all those doubts and stories,
beliefs and voices in your head.
You want all that energy back.
Focused.
Clear.
Potent.
Ready to be free
and do the work
you were born to do in this world.
Your innate perfection and beauty,
wisdom and radiance
are right here,
have been here.
It’s time
you embrace and embody
your inner goodness
and heal this world
with your light
and presence.
It’s time now.

Dear Ones, What is it time for in your own life? I sit with people in counseling and coaching, and I hear the stuckness — AND I hear the desire within Your Heart to call back all that energy you spend holding back your brilliance. That is someone else’s voice — an old voice from long ago and the voice of our culture — saying, “You need to keep changing to be better. You need to keep trying. You need to stay hidden so you don’t become too vibrant, too brilliant.” Let’s be done with the doubts and stories, beliefs and voices that hold us back. We have one precious life to live. It’s time we encourage each other to embrace and embody our inner goodness so that your presence — your radiant presence — can heal the world.

Brenda,
I am always grateful for your support and encouragement! Blessings, Lisa
Just what I needed today Lisa. Your healing, affirming words have encouraged me to find my voice in supporting other women beaten down by those stifling voices from the past. Thank you from the depths of my heart from a Pacific NW woman old enough to be your mother, struggling with an adult son with a serious mental health issue. My mission is to connect helpful resources with parents also on this roller coaster journey–always with a big dose of HOPE and ACCEPTANCE.
Hi Julie,
Oh I’m so glad to hear that this message resonated with you! I love it when inspirational messages transcend our age or circumstances. Yes — connecting parents with resources on this “roller coaster” journey! I’m glad to be “in communion” with you! Lisa
Thank you Lisa for these uplifting words of encouragement this morning! I recently started following you and find your blog very helpful, encouraging, and inspiring.
I am a Senior, age 71 still trying to find my inner voice. Somehow I keep thinking I’m not ok and need more direction and help and not seeing that I am ok just the way I am. Whole and Heathy in mind body and soul. Thank you!!! I’m feeling so much better just having read your words.
